We architect against these requirements from the first sprint, not as a retrofit before launch.
Yes. We build against HL7 v2, FHIR R4 and vendor-specific APIs (Epic App Orchard, Cerner Ignite, Athenahealth Marketplace) to read and write clinical data such as appointments, problem lists, medications and lab results, directly into your existing EHR rather than creating a second system of record.
HL7 and FHIR are the standard data formats hospitals and EHR vendors use to exchange clinical information. Building your app to speak FHIR R4 natively means it can plug into a hospital's existing health information exchange, insurance eligibility checks and lab systems without a custom integration for every partner.
We sign a BAA with you as a standard part of onboarding for any project that touches Protected Health Information, and we only select infrastructure vendors (AWS, GCP) under their HIPAA-eligible services with a BAA in place. This is set up before development starts, not after.
A focused telemedicine or patient-portal MVP typically takes 8–12 weeks. A full platform with EHR integration, RPM device data and multi-role access (patients, providers, admin) runs 4–7 months. Compliance documentation and security review add roughly 2–3 weeks before a production launch.
